PEACE MOVIE AWARD REGULATION
Art. 1 – Objective and Goals
The Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run Italia (“Organization”) promotes a competition to award the production of advertising spots (“videos”) on the theme of peace.
The competition is called, Peace Movie Award (“PMA”).
Objective of PMA is to create a platform that allows to give voice to the ideas and aspirations toward peace that are inside each one of us. Through this platform, these aspirations can be shared and valued, contributing thus to the development of a conscience of global oneness that transcends cultural, religious, and social differences.
In particular, PMA is directed to schools, since it is the new generations who, not only embody the hope for a better world, but also represent a more concrete chance for a change that, through personal growth, is able to propagate to a global level.
Art. 2 – Participation – Requirements
Only persons of age 6 and up can participate to the award. Participation is forbidden to the members of the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run Italia, members of the Committee of Examiners, members of the Editorial staff who validate the entries during the pre-selection phase, and also the relatives of children up to the third grade.
In the case of participants below eighteen of age, the legal guardians, who own the copyright of the material being sent, must authorize the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run Italia to make this material public, following the methods described in Art. 9.
Art. 3 – Registration – Procedure and Deadline
Each participant must register on the website MYMPA.IT, accept the regulations, and obtain a personal ID.
The video being submitted must be uploaded for this competition. The title must also include the ID, using the format: title – ID (for example, Peace Now – 93754). The video will not be published until the Editorial staff will begin the pre-selection phase.
Each candidate can submit more than one video. The registrations will be open from 12:00 am on November 27 2018 to 11:59 pm on July 31, 2019.
Art. 4 – Submitted Material – Requirements
1920 x 1080 or higher Resolution; 16:9 Format
Audio Codec: MPEG Layer II or Dolby AC-3 – Bitrate: 128 Kbps or higher
Video Codec: H.264 – Audio Codec: AAC – Bitrate: 128 Kbps o higher
The length must be exactly 30 (thirty) seconds.
The content must reflect the theme of this competition, as specified in Art. 1.
In particular, the content must not:
• Have won any other competition;
• Utilize any copyrighted material belonging to someone else;
• Include material that is indecent, obscene, repulsive, injurious, defamatory, slanderous, deprecative, blasphemous, pornographic, sexually explicit or suggestive, nor include images of naked people;
• Encourage violence nor publicize fire arms or weapons;
• Promote the usage of alcohol, illegal drugs, or cigarettes;
• Promote fanaticism, racism, hatred or violence towards groups or individuals, or promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
• Promote non-sports behavior, very dangerous or inconsiderate acts;
• Promote illegal activities.
The submitted videos must respect the regulations of the YouTube Community, https://www.youtube.com/yt/policyandsafety/it/communityguidelines.html, and be consistent with YouTube’s Terms of Service, which can be consulted using the following link (Terms of Service).
Art. 5 – Acceptance of the Video
Following the registration and the download of the video on the competition’s channel, we verify whether the requirements listed in Art. 4 are reflected. If this is not the case, the registration is cancelled. The cancellation is unchallengeable. It is possible, though, to submit a new video within the deadline specified in Art. 3. Otherwise, the registration is confirmed. In either case, the participant receives information by email at the email address specified during registration.
Art. 6 – Preselection
The accepted videos will be made public on the channel. The organization is not responsible for technical problems due to the functioning of the channel and the counting mode of the views of the loaded video.
Art. 7 – Selection
The videos that make it through the preselection are then rated by a Committee of Experts based on the following criteria:
– Creative idea in which the theme is represented
– Capacity to effectively communicate the theme
– Quality of production of the project (direction, lighting, photography, sound, and music)
During this phase, the criteria listed on Art. 2 are also checked.
The decree of the Committee is unchallengeable.
Art. 8 – Award Giving
Winners of the following categories will be awarded:
• Primary and Secondary Schools
• High Schools
• University and Master’s Program
• Free category
• Out of competition
The award consists of a trophy and a certificate.
By August 15, 2019 we will communicate the winners to the interested parties via email, to the email address indicated at the time of registration.
The awards will be conferred during an official ceremony, which will take place on September 20, 2019.
The organization reserves the rights to recall an award, even afterwards, in case issues of incompatibility of the participant or of the video with the regulations arise.
Art. 9 – Rights on the Submitted Material
While maintaining their rights on the submitted video, the proprietor authorizes the organization to make the video public through press, video, television, websites, and social platforms, for the usage provided by the statute of the organization. Any commercial use is excluded. The submitted material is not subject to rights by third parties and the participant is committed to hold the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run Italy harmless against claims by third parties.

Art. 11 – Additional Provisions
The President of the Organization of this competition has the right to settle all cases that are not included in this set of Regulations, and also to derogate to this Regulation in particular, well motivated cases.
YouTube is not a sponsor of this competition. When sending a video, the participants are bound to retain YouTube free from any responsibility related to this competition.
In case of any dispute on the interpretation of the articles of this Regulation, the original text in Italian is to be taken as reference.
The Organization reserves the right to modify this Regulation in order to improve the quality of the initiative and the experience of the participants. Any modification will be published on the website MYPMA.IT
